DOM. WILLIAM FÈVRE
Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons 2013

TASTING NOTES

“This is clearly riper with background traces of exoticism present on the citrus-inflected yellow orchard fruit aromas. There is impressive concentration to the extract-rich middle weight flavors that possess ample minerality that continues onto the almost salty, clean and relatively dry finish. This is more powerful than it usually is and while it should age well, it will drink well young too.” Allen Meadows, Burghound

DOM. WILLIAM FÈVRE

William Fèvre’s wines come from a long tradition of viticulture in Burgundy. First produced by the monks of Saint-Martin-de Tours in 865. Chablis enjoyed an excellent reputation which rapidly spread beyond French borders over the centuries. In modern times, William Fèvre has been the leading force in Chablis since 1959. Fighting to protect the boundaries and the name of Chablis, William Fèvre continuously raised the bar for quality. As the largest owner of Grand Cru vineyards, the domaine continues to make indisputably authentic and ageworthy wines under the leadership of highly respected winemaker Didier Séguier. With judicious use of neutral oak barrels and no lees stirring, the winemaking focus is always on finesse and terroir.
